Jesse Jackson has left the chat
He diverted non-profit funds to the mother of his bastard child. As noted above, he was an extortionist. He advocated for more strict incarceration for crack cocaine then later denounced the same law as racist.

A biographical movie? Call it True Grift.

Years ago, I read a book titled "Shakedown" about Jesse and his grift, a well researched book that went deep into his corruption. One account stood out- his shakedown of Anheuser-Busch. Jackson made his accusations of racism in the company, made it public, and as his standard protocol, was set to negotiate a payoff to his Rainbow Coalition during a scheduled meeting with corporate officials. But they cleverly outplayed Jesse, they hired a team of investigators to look into Jackson's record of lies and corruption putting together dozens of pages of facts and incriminating information against Jackson. When the two sides met in a boardroom, an attorney for Anheuser-Busch pushed the binder with these documents across the table to Jackson, who then read the pages. Without saying a word, Jackson got up, and walked out the door and later dropped the racism accusations, knowing he had been outfoxed and he didn't want this info leaked to the media.

When he ran for President, his slogan was "Run, Jesse, Run!"

Supporters put the sticker on their rear bumper, but in the Chicago area a lot of those stickers were on the front bumper.

He always figured himself as successor to MLK, but never had what it takes. A black woman I worked with about 45 years ago said that when her brother was killed, JJ took over the funeral and made it a spectacle. She hated him.

Now that he’s gone, maybe “Song of the South” will finally be released as the classic that it is.

Didn't his son somehow get a beer distributorship in Chicago?? That's a pretty good gig if you can get one.

Jesse is the author of the oft repeated lie that black people cannot be racist.

Back in high school the park across the street from the high school was where the serious stoners hung out and the vagrants congregated. There was a low slung wall separating the grass from a paved area. Somebody decided kids should make tiles celebrating “peace” and those tiles should be stuck on the wall. Cool cool cool. Art project for hippies. Par for the course. The powers that be decided they’d call it the “Peace Wall” and somehow got on Jesse Jackson’s schedule and he agreed to come dedicate the Peace Wall in Berkeley. What better thing to get the entire high school out of class to come to the event. Just one period. It’s important. No biggie. The park was filled with students at 10:00am of whatever waiting for Jesse. 10:30 still waiting. 11:00, still waiting and now it’s lunch time. Noon comes. Lunch is over. Still no Jesse. I think he showed up around 1:00pm. Gave a quick speech. I ran into the principal after and asked which class I was supposed to go to. He told me the day was lost and to just go home.

Remember when his grandstanding ass trotted off to "negotiate" with Hezbollah and later the Serbians when they were holding hostages? I wonder about the money involved in those adventures.

Al Charlatan is still kicking. IMO, he's worse than Jesse Jackson.

Houston has Quanell X who is a convicted drug dealer turned professional poverty pimp, race baiter, and fraudster. He gained national attention twice (1) mouthpiece leading protests during the Joe Horn shooting aftermath and (2) lead the armed protest outside the 2022 Houston NRA convention.

Dallas has Minister Dominique Alexander. You may remember him as the POS mouthpiece from the Karmelo Anthony track meet stabbing. Child abuser, probation violator, felony theft, domestic violence, and faux minister.

He was everything he railed against. He was a racist, an opportunist, one who stole from poor people. He once bragged that when he was young he worked at a restaurant and spit in white people's food.

He and Obama, et. al, set race relations back 100 years in the US.
