I stocked up also. I have 2-eight packs of 60 watt and 2-eight packs of 40 watt bulbs.

No reason to throw any away, give them away at the most.

In any house there are lights that get used seldom, for short periods. I’d rotate them to those uses.

Lights that are often on, then stay on for longer periods, should have the most efficient bulbs. That’s often near a favorite chair, main bathroom, kitchen, wherever.

Every house has lighting areas that are seldom used, or the short periods.
