The couple of olights that I bought around Black Friday are not in the same league as my Felix lights. They seem to put out some light over a large area vs the Felix puts a lot of light where it is pointed.

And that's a big reason people have more than one flashlight. Some lights are designed for more flood and some are designed for mor throw. Every manufacturer makes a variety of each.

Having all the guns and cameras I desire, I have started to acquire quality flash lights to replace my el cheapos.

I ordered two of the Seeker lights, each with the additional charger. Total qualified me for the free M1T Plus. The charger the comes with the Seeker will also work on my S1R, S2R, and H2R lights as well.

So far have picked up Fenix TK47, TK47UE, and UC35 v2. Also Olight S1R II, S2R II, H2R headlamp, and now the Seeker 2 Pro. Didn’t buy, but got as freebie bonus the M1T Raider and with my Seeker order the M1T Plus.

I like to have both spot and wider beam options. I really like Olight’s magnetic charge system, simple to just set on the nightstand instead of having to pull batteries and dig out the charger. Second best is in light USB charging, third is batteries with USB charge port built in.

You are exactly right. Both olights that I have seem to be more of a flood type light. Which is great indoors or up close outdoors but prefer the tighter and brighter light of the Fenix when taking out the dog at night so I can see if we are going to get ambushed by a skunk. Spotted several a good distance off and saved what would have been some bad nights.

I do really like the recharging tail cap on the olights. Handy little gadget.

My Seeker 2 PRO came in yesterday. Charged it up and took it to work (currently on night shift).

This is a flood light. Good for small indoor places, car searches and immediate area work. There is NO throw with this light. It was good looking around outside up close. I tried to light up a third floor balcony where we had two burglars jumped off (no worries, we got them) and the Seeker didn’t throw far enough for my satisfaction.

It’s going to be a home flashlight. I’ll mount it near the bed.

The free M1T Raider Plus I got from Olight from a previous order throws much better and is what I currently have on my duty belt.

Yes, it is a bit of a flood instead of spot, but I had no problem seeing into the top of a 45+ foot tree in the parking lot at work.
