We've known since the week of Christmas, but I'm officially severely outnumbered come August.

Baby #3, girl #3.
Even our dog is a girl.

We're excited & our girls (8 & 5) are both stoked.

Due to the current medical climate, I wasn't allowed to go to the ultrasound, patients only. So, we had the tech print the image & put it in an envelope for us to open with the girls when my wife got home.

And, for a bit of comedy:

The Enemy's gate is down.

Your ears are going to be VERY tired.

Here's what I noticed when child #3 came along.

1. Our family doesn't fit in one hotel room.
2. or cruise cabin...(ha, right?)
3. You and your wife will learn new "zone" defense
4. No one is ever completely happy except on Christmas morning...for about 5 minutes!

edited to add... Congratulations!

You're not outnumbered, I'm Outnumbered! Wink 4 girls, 3 boys here (blended family, then 4 more together). Congratulations, BTW!

We have 3 boys 6, 4, and 2.
Three kids well yeah it is a million times worse than 2 kids I can promise you that.

If two are together and one is at the grandparents, or a friends, out with the spouse. Life is Good! Add the 3rd to the mix all hell breaks loose.
It makes no difference the combo of 2 they are great. The 3rd one rolls in and the world may as well come to an end.

Congratulations and Good Luck!!!!!!!

Congrats!

I'm in the same boat. Well, not that severe. I only have two girls (and the wife of course). They all also (or will when the 7 month old starts talking) speak French. So that adds another dynamic. Just more motivation to keep studying the language.

Might as well plan on having a few more while you’re at it!

Seriously, congratulations.

Congrats! We were at two girls (and two female dogs) when my son came along. Thank goodness! Although I will say the inability to reuse much of the girls' stuff meant my wife went crazy on clothes and decorations. Oh well.

As has been mentioned three is a handful, but with the ages of your other two you may see some relief as the spread is pretty good. Ours are all 7 y/o and under right now, so it's a challenge to try to be everywhere at once.

One recommendation I'll make, if you're going to be upgrading vehicles, look for something with captain's chairs in the second row. One for easy access to the third row, but also because it creates some spacial separation in the second row.

One of my buddies has a wife, her sister, and 3 girls. Went to his house to help him on his mud racer. Out comes his Irish Setter and he says "yeah, the dog's a bitch too".

Another friend also has 3 girls. All he wanted was just one little boy to corrupt. His insight was "one is always on the rag". Figuratively, girls get bitchy, old and young. But the advantage is they also pop out grandkids to make your life happy later on. I guess the difference is girls come home when things go sour, and bring the little ones along. Guys are different. If they break up, they get a batchelor pad for entertainment. I have no idea what divorced girls do for sex.

Wife has a Flex, so we've got the 3rd row handled, though it has a 2nd row bench.
It's nearly paid off, which will be nice, but is also >100k with a few randomly intermittent quirks. It's got some positive equity, so we may consider upgrading. She really wants a Telluride, but they're still pretty pricey and not a hugely stocked item on Kia lots.

My little Mercedes C300 would get replaced if it hadn't depreciated like crazy after we bought it (CPO). Looked into it last year to upgrade to an Outback & turned out even with the huge depreciation hit the prior owner took, it's still dropping.

Tempting to hit up my DCJR sales mgr neighbor & see what he might be able to do.
I got back into a car from an F150, but wouldn't mind an SUV or Jeep, though it would probably still be a squeeze for 2 car seats & a 9 yr old.

I had a patient in our ED once who had 7 daughters, that was my exact question. He did.

Congrats! Time to move from man-on-man to a zone defense. We had twin boys 18 months after our first boy so we had 3 kids under 2. I was in grad school 12 hours a day and working 2 jobs.

Yeah... don't miss those days.

I won't tell you how many kids we have now because you'd

b. laugh at me

Congrats!!

We had first 2 girls 15 months apart (first time I heard the term "Irish Twins"). 5 year gap, then a boy, another 3 years till next girl, then 2 years a boy, and 2 years another girl.
So, 4 girls & 2 boys in 13 years. Been through a lot. Oldest 2 have graduate degrees, third is working on his. Fourth due to graduate college this Spring (but can't walk, because graduation cancelled). Fifth is sophomore in Honors Business school at U. of Dayton. Youngest due to graduate HS this Spring (but again, can't walk because graduation cancelled).
Back to having the three youngest at the house, because college kids moved back home during this time. Damn, it's LOUD at home!!!!

Congrats again, You have a lot to look forward to!!!

Congrats Dad!

My wife just had her 20 week ultrasound last Friday for Baby #3 as well and yes, I had to stay in the car Frown Watched the ultrasound over FaceTime.

My wife is very worried that I will not be allowed at the birth, are you hearing anything about this?
