How hard is that to understand?
They didn't spend $68 million to combat homelessness, they spent $68 million to encourage more of them to live there.
An extremely accurate assessment on the reason why cities like Seattle, San Francisco, Honolulu, etc. have huge homeless problems.

You think Seattle is becoming like San Francisco?
It is. Tacoma is supposedly better, and I've got horror stories for days.
Hey now, my town has grit and character. Its NOTHING like Seattle except it borders on the same water and has a rockin' port. And no good dim sum restaurants, but no place is perfect.

whanson_wiWhen the building is trashed, they'll just vote money for a new (bigger, more lavish) City Hall.

braillediverIt's Seattle- They're doing what their constituents want.
I haven't bee to Seattle in 5 years and only then because I had to go to court. You couldn't pay me to go into Seattle and when the check was waiting I told them to mail it.

Jim ShugartI'm just glad that I'm not a writer for
The Onion. Can you imagine sitting at your desk in the morning, sipping a cup of coffee, and reading this shit?
The boss says, "Hey dude, Ya got anything?"
Dude screams and jumps out the window.

You mean except for those things,
and the roving bands of homeless junkies leaving needles and shit and piss everywhere?

KOMO News reports that the homeless will be housed in the lobby, with the shelter being run by the Salvation Army. That is in addition to an overnight shelter in the building that has the capacity for 60 people to stay. The outlet reported that the plan would cost $13 million.
So - $200k for each person or in typical media fashion the two are completely unrelated? That's a pretty nice home.

Exactly what I was thinking. Kind of hard to make shit up more ludicrous than this.

They should be housed in the offices of the Seattle City Council members who voted for this idiocy. I mean really..... housing these poor homeless "victims" in the lobby sounds awfully elitist of them. Don't they know these "victims" could be psychologically scarred and traumatized by living in a building lobby where the general public walks past them? Oh the humanity!!!

parabellumI like it. This is perfect for these leftist morons. Hopefully, they crap and piss in the lobby, too. Maybe drink a bit of wine, smoke some weed. Get comfortable.

Cousin VinnieMaybe the city council can offer their homes or backyards to a homeless person? Sort of "Adopt a homeless person". Then they can cook them breakfast before they leave work and cook them dinner when they get home.

JohnnyDThey will need to budget for air fresheners too. It's gonna stank.
