My background is agriculture / horticulture degree from KSU. Since 2006, I’ve worked in sports as director of horticulture in NASCAR, Minor League Baseball, and MLB with the San Francisco Giants, Washington Nationals, and Former Florida Marlins. I got out of sports a few years ago when family time became my priority. I Currently manage a small landscape and construction equipment dealership. Essentially, i would like to work in an industry or position that offers benefits and a regular 40hr schedule. My schedule in baseball was regularly 85-100hrs. I currently work 60+ and no benefits. With my experience, it’s hard to break away from the landscape industry, but I have to. I’m an educated professional with years of experience managing people and things in fast paced, and highly visible environments. I’m great with people, building relationships, technical and administrative concepts, and organization. If you can provide any leads in east central Florida, I’d be appreciative!

All the jobs I've had with a decent salary were at least 12 to 14 hour days. There were people who wanted to move up and they would take work home so as not to make people think they were inefficient and worked long hours. That's the dirty secret of work-life balance in the US. It's just lip service. If you want real work-life balance with just 40 hour days, work in Europe when you get a lot of bank holidays, 3 week vacations to start, etc. Germany has a law that requires power to be shut off after a certain time. Good luck. "It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning, 1946.

Have you looked at a state job as a forester? Mom keeps in touch with a state guy in North Fla who manages the forests all over N Fla because we have a pine forest near High Springs. Seems like it would be a cool job-office work vs slogging thru property. "Violence, naked force, has settled more issues in history than has any other factor.” Robert A. Any in state colleges or universities have an agricultural program? Might start there too. -------------------------------------—————— ————————--Ignorance is a powerful tool if applied at the right time, even, usually, surpassing knowledge(E.J.Potter, A.K.A. The Michigan Madman)

I know a lot of people in CF. Email in profile. Let's talk. "I vowed to myself to fight against evil more completely and more wholeheartedly than I ever did before. . . . That’s the only way to pay back part of that vast debt, to live up to and try to fulfill that tremendous obligation." Alfred Hornik, Sunday, December 2, 1945 to his family, on his continuing duty to others for surviving WW II.

What part of east central Florida are you looking at? Have you looked at any municipal/county government opportunity? Also any of the big entertainment/theme parks company in the central Florida location. The Second Amendment to the United States Constitution.
