Need recommendations on Safariland dealer who is good to deal with.
Title says it all. I'm looking for recommendations of a dealer that sells Safariland products who is decent to deal with and actually has some stuff in stock. If I can find someone that is reasonable, that will be great. I'm just looking for a dealer who won't take my money, tell me that the item is shipped, and then cancel my order two weeks later saying there was a mix up in warehouse and they never actually had the holster I wanted in the first place. (and take an additional three weeks to refund my money minus the upgraded shipping I paid for)

Thanks

I’ve tried them, and waited for three months backorder for a simple QLS kit....in black, not even a fancy color. Someone has to fill the void here, right? HolsterOps was my go to, but they have since closed up shop, I’ve yet to find a decent place that stocks a good variety of Safariland holsters and such.

I highly recommend Helmie at SERT.
One of my best friends, but more importantly a known entity in this industry and on this forum.

I just decided to move on from Safariland due to their absurd wait time. And even when I was still on board with them, their website was a piece of shit and they were way behind the curve on the Gen5 Glocks.

No, I'm not waiting 3 months for a holster and I'm sure as fuck not paying for it now and waiting 3 months for it. Kydex will have to do. I'm not a professional gunfighter, and while I'd like to support Safariland, I don't support the bullshit.

That's a name I haven't heard in awhile.

Helmie helped me when I shot my first IPDA match down in VA. He took his time and explained how a match was run, what you needed to do and safety items. Made it much more comfortable for a new guy to walk in and shot.

He also used to sell some great range bags.

I love safari land products but it seems like unless you need a Glock 19 holster you are out of luck. And their website and “holster finder”, holy fuck it’s awful. Good luck jones.

First step is finding a dealer who's got stock, which seems to be no one and never.

I've gotten my handful of Safariland's from OP Tactical, most stuff is focused around what the military is using and what's in demand, they're not carrying every piece of cop kit. When they get them, they get a lot of them, just make sure to sign-up. The last one I waited 6-months Roll Eyes but, got what I wanted and they were prompt about it. No plunk your money down and wait BS.

Jones shoot me an email let me know what you are looking for. I am not in the business at the moment, but I can still look thru some of my distributors to see if they even have anything in stock.

It's been a while, but I have bought two from a company called holsterops. They were prompt and had what I wanted in stock.

Yeah buying direct from them is an absolute joke. They take forever and still mess up the orders.

Safariland is one of those companies that make you scratch your head. If they had an equal they would be destroyed in the marketplace. If they actually had the ability to make holsters in a reasonable time frame they would be crushing it. I’m sure they do fine but from a business standpoint they suck donkey balls. They must be killing contract work is my only guess.

From another thread, I suspect Jones is looking for an RDS holster. Those have been an absolute bastard to find in any quantity anywhere. I am very intrigued by the new 7TS RDS holsters for Glock (and the STI models that now have part numbers), but I have no faith in them getting stuff out on the market in any numbers.

The large police supplies (Galls, Streicher's, Kiesler, etc.) are unlikely to be much help. I have had acceptable results from CopQuest, but not so much because they have a good stock of stuff as that their estimates are pretty accurate (if they tell you 14-21 days, it probably will be).

Here's what CopQuest shows in stock under 6360RDS today, Jerry:

Glock 17 w/TLR-2 - B/W Right Hand
Glock 19 w/TLR-1, X300, etc. - STX tac or plain Right Hand
P320RX/M17/VTAC w/TLR-1 - Gloss Right Hand
P320RX/M17/VTAC w/X300 - Gloss Right Hand

They also have the 6365 (1.5" drop, but you could swap an existing UBL over obviously) in the following fit:

Glock 17 w/TLR-1, X300, etc. Plain Black Right Hand

Or the 6360RDS body with a QLS fork in:

Glock 17 w/TLR-1, X300, etc. Plain Black Right Hand
P320RX Carry w/TLR-1, X300, etc. OD Green Left Hand

They have a few others in the 6390. It takes a bit to sort through as they have the entire Safariland catalog on there for order.

Good luck!

I have been wanting to check out Lawmans in Raleigh or Durham.

I need a new pair of boots for patrol.

Doesn't one of the forum members work for Lawman's. Maybe he can give you advice or point you in the right direction.

I have always carried Safariland holsters. They are my go to holster and even caused a few waves with supervisors because I didn't want to use Blackhawk.

With that being said their website and that holster finder sucks. It is not user friendly at all.
