old dinoLast year on Valentine's day my wife drove me when I got my colonoscopy ... to her, the best gift she could give me.

This year on Valentine's Day my wife is driving me to have my molar surgically removed and a bone graft added.
Ironic that last year up my butt and this year into my mouth.
Let the comments roll ... :P

trapper189I bought standing rib roast yesterday for $4.99 a pound at a market that sources everything locally. Eggs though, $5.79 a dozen. We don’t need eggs that badly.

Damn, here in the PNW I am paying $1.49 a dozen for brown, few green and Eggs Best white eggs that are getting close to the pull date. Eggs will easily last 6 weeks past the pull date. I keep at least 12 dozen in the garage fridge. If in the rare chance that I think we will go longer than that I will wipe them down with mineral oil the day I buy them and as such can go a month or longer if needed.
Being a country boy back in the day, learned a thing or two about eggs ... and many other things.

30 years of marriage here, and I can top that. My wife pretty much always does her own Christmas shopping, usually around August or so, and passes me the items to put away until the day. I always try to surprise her with something additional, but 90% of the work is already done by the time I get around to thinking about it. Who can understand the mind of a woman?

PrefontaineJust another marketing holiday. Make sure to get her that two diamond ring thing. One diamond because she’s your best friend. The second diamond because she is your lover. C’mon everyone needs to pitch in and pad DeBeers profits!
What am I doing? I'm talking to an empty telephone

StarTravelerLast night at the grocery store, a dozen free-range organic eggs (large) was $9.99/dozen and regular store brand eggs were over $3. Before the inflation spike began, the Uber-eggs were about $4 and the store brand was usually $1.29 or so and frequently on sale for $0.99.

For $9.99 I’d rather just buy a steak or something on sale
This is getting ludicrous
