I think putting up the sign is fine. I think writing a note to your neighbor telling them they think their support of person x is wrong is also perfectly fine. What's different about that than the millions of online opinions expressing disagreement everyday. Defacing the sign or any other action is out of bounds. And insulting the person to me accomplishes nothing but its not a moral problem. The number of people who have been called stupid for voting a certain way is beyond countable.

He has been since I got here. I'm also seeing tons of ads against Lake and Masters. The spending has to be obscene.

I agree with this. It really helps paint a picture on a neighborhood you're looking at buying a house in as well. Lots of American flags and a few Trump signs? I will have similar values to those people. None of that, or a BLM sign, or rainbow flags in lieu of any candidates worth a shit? Not the place for me.

I can't recall seeing any yard signs for Hobbs, just some at intersections along with everyone else. However, I've learned not to make that my indicator of how things are going to go. In my little town in Washington, the support for Trump on election night was profuse, they were on every corner of every intersection with signs and flags. It was quite the electric atmosphere. There was one asshole with a Biden sign at one intersection, and he was getting heckled by country boys in trucks with flags. Felt for sure that was a good indicator of the true situation, and honestly, it probably was. It misled me as to what the results would be, however.

Gotta see if there's any way to help volunteer to help ensure election integrity here.

No yard signs on my street, the HOA doesn't allow them. Probably just as well because most of them would probably be for Dems.

I live in a semi-rural area. Yard signs are critical to win an election here. Especially large ones like 4x4 or 4x8

For the Nov election I have distributed 380 of the small yard signs. Spread out over an entire county

Turn out for this Nov election is expected to be only 50% of our registered voters.

I am always surprised at how many voters don't even know who are our candidate is.

As always, turning out the base is key to winning.

A different angle:

Campaign signs found booby-trapped with razor blades, police say

UPPER MAKEFIELD TWP., Pa. - Authorities in lower Bucks County are investigating what they call a "disgusting act" -- political campaign signs being booby-trapped with razor blades.

Police in Upper Makefield Township say one resident's fingers got sliced while removing a sign put on private property without permission.

That sign and two others had razor blades placed around the perimeter, police say.
Authorities have yet to identify a suspect or suspects.

Police are warning residents to use caution if removing signs placed on their property without permission.

All of the sabotaged signs were for Democratic candidates.

I am all for this. I had 3 TRUMP signs stolen out of my yard. I swear, if I could have put land mines around them, I would have. The loons will never stop, but this may curb some of the stupidity.

If the linked article can be believed, this was not done by the property owner who placed signs on his (her) own property.

Per the article, signs for democrat candidates were placed on private property by unknown persons, without the permission of the property owner. When the property owner went to remove the unauthorized signs, s/he was injured by razor blades on the booby-trapped signs.

The classy Dems in NoVA are busy defacing Republican congressional candidates' yard signs, adding obscene text, etc. In a recent campaign meeting the decision was to not replace them, but to leave them in place to show potential voters who we are running against. I imagine the frequency of theft/removal of signs from prominent places will only increase as the voting deadline approaches. Welcome to the cancel culture.

As conservatives, I think we are very close to the point of asking ourselves whether it would be more effective to continue "playing nice," or to "drag ourselves down to their level," and see who wins the mud fight.
