Have you seen the DIY cheaper versions people are making? Could save you several hundred dollars.

Ok, I’ll bite. What is a Crown Berkey? Is it like a Henway?

No, more like a Matter Baby.

I bought mine 11 years ago from "The Berkey Guy" on the Directive21 site, and they seem to be having a sale. Bought a few things from him and he seemed like a decent guy back then. Check the dates on any filters you buy.

I bought mine straight from Berkey’s website a few weeks ago.

Went with the royal from directive21. 350 with stainless spigot.

I reconsidered the Larger model as we want it refilled at least daily. Most of our kids are tiny so 6 gallons is a lot each day right now.

That was the model I bought years ago. I think you'll be happy.

Thank you for the suggestion.

I've seen do it yourself versions and while I would definitely do that for a camp or something, I'm okay paying once for stainless that should last a lifetime. Plus, my wife prolly isn't too keen on having food grade buckets sitting on her counterSmile

Well, if you want an old Peavey, you go to the source. In Maine. Maybe it's the same for a Berkley?
