erj_pilot, although I was aware of the Left's mis-characterization of Sweden (and Denmark) as examples of Socialist utopias, the video interviews did an excellent job of dispelling the notion that current day Sweden is a socialist country, but instead, a capitalist free market country in which its citizens are taxed at a high rate in order to provide mediocre health care and education...to say nothing of their wide-spread adoption of nuclear energy to provide affordable clean energy for their businesses and citizens. Well worth the time to watch this video! Dennis Prager, after posting a video dispelling the myth that Denmark is a Socialist country, was actually contacted by the U.S. ambassador to Denmark because she used his video to educate others on Denmark's government which mirrors Sweden's in many ways, in fostering a free market capitalistic model in generating wealth, and then taxing their citizens at a high rate in order to provide a high level of mediocre benefits. I can't find the interview with the ambassador however this is the Prager U video with a Danish economist that dispels the myth that Denmark is a Socialist country. (not a You Tube video so I can't embed it) Is Denmark Socialist? | |||
