I will being spending a night in Anniston, AL. in June. I am visiting the CMP. Does anyone have a suggestion for a good restaurant in or near Anniston. Preferably something unique to the area, not a chain. Any thing I should make a point of seeing there, other than the CMP? Thanks for any ideas.

Garfrericks and Classic on Noble. Those 2 places are still memorable even though its been several years since I've been in either restaurant. JPThis message has been edited. Last edited by: jprebb,

Two excellent suggestions by JP. Classics has a Sunday morning brunch that is really good. Their shrimp and grits are noteworthy, as well as their fried okra and tomatoes. War Eagle!

I have stayed in Anniston for over 30 years while attending races at Talladega. We have always liked Dad's Bar-B-Que and Top Of The River. Both are North on Quintard up by the Fort. Not fancy but good.
