V-TailToday (January 15) is National Bagel Day
If you do not live in the NY / NJ metro area, where there are great mom & pop neighborhood bagel bakeries, the freezer section of your grocery store might carry Ray's New York Bagels. They are the best grocery store bagels that I have found.
"Take & Bake" -- 425° for six or seven minutes, and Bob's your uncle.

downtownvLRD- Would you like a bagel, perhaps a schmear of cream cheese? (In my best Bourogh Park, Brooklyn NY Orthodox accent)

bdylanI'll try the Ray's New York Bagels. I've become a big bagel fan from getting the steak bagels at McDonalds for breakfast.

rat2306I had thoughts of going to Panera Bread for a good bagel and a schmear (not knowing it was National Bagel Day) but turned into the drive through for Wendy's instead. Perhaps tomorrow morning I'll stop for one with lox and capers (hold the red onion, please) at a shop down the street.
