Yeah, no thanks. This is going in the wrong direction. His point about how all of congress is in bed with the Chicoms in every other aspect of their lives already anyway is dead on.

This was another good TC video. The government is doing their typical scare tactics to overstep their authority all in the name of protecting us.

Yet they will allow illegals to pour over the border and Chinese spy balloons navigate the U.S.

In any case TikTok isn’t owned by a majority of Chinese. Two Chinese guys created it and sold the majority off to investors. The info is held on cloud servers in Texas.

How about if our government is so concerned with our safety make it illegal to share any of our data whether online or not by foreign or domestic companies. Google, Facebook, car companies, etc. all share our personal information and none of them care one bit about that.

Do you trust our government with all your info more than China. Did China get your insurance rates raised because your car shared your driving habits with your insurance company without your approval.

There is concern over the ultimate goals for the legislation, how the rules and regulations would be written up and can they be used to shut down platforms that one group doesn't like.

Hopefully the senate won't send it to Potatous to sign..

If he wants it, then there is absolutely an agenda to use for political purposes...

That’s exactly what this is all about. They are perfectly fine when they are allowed to control what is said (Facebook and others) but they need to protect us if they don’t get to control the content (hmm communist). They will go after X next since it is the most free speech of them all and guess what, controlled by a foreigner (Elon Musk).
