A Massachusetts woman was charged with assaulting a man wearing a “Make America Great Again” at a restaurant last week in Falmouth.

Rosiane Santos, 41, faces charges of disorderly conduct and assault and battery after police said she admitted to attacking the man because he supported President Trump, a local Fox affiliate reported.

Bryton Turner, 23, started recording the incident after he said Ms. Santos started yelling at him at the Casa Vallarta restaurant in Falmouth. In the video, Ms. Santos is seen knocking the red baseball cap off Mr. Turner’s head. At another point in the video, Ms. Santos is seen trying to rip the hat off Mr. Turner head as he holds onto it.

“Ignorant people like this. I’m just trying to sit here, eat a nice meal,” Mr. Turner said in the video. “That’s the problem with America these days. People are just ignorant. They want to lash out on people who are educated.”

Geo Macarao, a bartender at Casa Vallarta, told the Fox affiliate that Mr. Turner did nothing to provoke the woman.

“He just walked in and ordered his food,” he said.

Mr. Macarao said Ms. Santos hit the victim one last time as she was being escorted by police out of the restaurant.

“I couldn’t imagine somebody just coming up and hitting them when there’s cops right here,” Mr. Macarao said.

Ms. Santos, a Brazilian immigrant, told the news station that she’s the victim in the situation.

“I had a little bit to drink,” she said. “Maybe that’s the reason that I couldn’t walk away, but being discriminated for so many times in my life, I just had to stand up for myself.

“He’s not a victim. I am the victim. I have been bullied, OK?” she said.

The Falmouth Police chief said the incident is yet another example of rising political tension in the area, a local NBC affiliate reported.

Ms. Santos, who was released by a judge on her own recognizance on Wednesday, is scheduled to return to court for a pretrial hearing March 20.

Per the last line of the original post, the judge just let this woman walk away, with her promise to return for a hearing. WTF? This woman, who "just had to stand up for [herself]," the woman who hit the diner as she was being escorted out by the police, the woman who attacked the diner and then claimed that she was the victim, this immigrant who might or might not be a U.S. citizen (my guess is not, the quote from the article did not specify), who thinks it's OK to physically attack somebody because she does not agree with an article of clothing that he is wearing, is allowed to walk with no bond on her promise to return.

If she does not appear for her hearing, that so-called judge should be required to serve the maximum sentence that could have been imposed on that woman.

Get mad all you want, but there is no evidence that the judge had any other choice but to follow this action. In most states, that is the case.

Each time you read politicians who are talking about "Justice Reform" it is simple code for rewriting laws to make more crimes legal or really downplaying them, keeping fewer criminals in jail, and restoring the Rights of convicted criminals with no effort on their part.

Most state legislatures have neutered the states penal code to the point that unless you attempt to kill someone, your bond is set at a handful of magic beans. People no longer fear getting locked up because of these "reforms".

Take that in to account, as well as the left becoming more violent and the media covering up most of it or whipping up the base with fake news, and I believe this will eventually be the catalyst for the shooting war that is coming.

Each time a politician breathes the words "Justice Reform" it is the good people of this country that take a fucking over it.

I appreciate V-Tails anger and quite often judges do seem too lenient. Hard for average joes like us to know whether the judge is being an sjw or if they are bound by statute.

On the left, the highest virtue is to be a victim. Of course she tried to take that mantle for herself.

I am a very firm believer in equal rights for women as well as for men.

Which, in my world, means that women get treated the same as men in the same circumstances.

In keeping with those equal rights, that woman would have found herself on the floor as the result of a vigorous right cross to the face.

FALMOUTH (CBS) – The woman who was charged with confronting a man wearing a “Make America Great Again” hat inside a Falmouth Mexican restaurant is now in ICE custody. The department said she was in the country illegally.

Police said Rosiane Santos walked by Bryton Turner as he was eating dinner at Casa Vallarta and knocked the hat off his head. She then allegedly confronted him verbally.

Turner recorded video showing some of the confrontation. Falmouth Police charged Santos with disorderly conduct following the incident earlier this month. On Tuesday, ICE took her into custody.

“Deportation officers with ICE’s Fugitive Operations Team arrested Rosiane Santos, an unlawfully present citizen of Brazil, today near Falmouth, Massachusetts,” said ICE spokesman John Mohan. “Santos is currently facing local charges for assault and other offenses. She is presently in ICE custody and has been entered into removal proceedings before the federal immigration courts.”

Turner said he was just trying to eat a nice meal when Santos grabbed his hat supporting President Trump.

“It’s just a hat at the end of the day,” Turner told WBZ after the incident. “I don’t really understand why people can’t just express themselves anymore, everybody has to get mad.”
