I’m confused by your statement. You appear to ask how someone with a history of lying can be taken seriously as a politician. Are lying, talking out both sides of one’s mouth, making promises one never had any intention of attempting to keep not essential job skills of a true politician? Heck, there was recently an article posted here where the gist was that one of the things they were upset at President Trump about was that he was actually keeping his campaign promises when (paraphrasing) “Everyone knows you aren’t supposed to do that. You just say whatever you must to get elected, then once elected, forget whatever you said and do whatever you want. About a year before the next election, you start to act like you are concerned about whatever is going to get you re-elected.”

Yep, by those standards, Liz is a much better politician than the Donald. Look out for the landslide Bruce "The designer of the gun had clearly not been instructed to beat about the bush. 'Make it evil,' he'd been told. 'Make it totally clear that this gun has a right end and a wrong end. Make it totally clear to anyone standing at the wrong end that things are going badly for them. If that means sticking all sort of spikes and prongs and blackened bits all over it then so be it. This is not a gun for hanging over the fireplace or sticking in the umbrella stand, it is a gun for going out and making people miserable with." -Douglas Adams “It is just as difficult and dangerous to try to free a people that wants to remain servile as it is to try to enslave a people that wants to remain free." -Niccolo Machiavelli The trouble with fighting for human freedom is that one spends most of one's time defending scoundrels. For it is against scoundrels that oppressive laws are first aimed, and oppression must be stopped at the beginning if it is to be stopped at all. -Mencken

One can be a capitalist and see discrepancies in the US economy and see that it’s not the ideal free market capitalist environment. You do have pockets of oligarchy with individual corporations or industries conspiring with big government to control and manipulate markets. This isn’t to say Warren is indeed a capitalist; it’s to say we need to see truth for what it is. "It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning, 1946.

====================== Indeed. But only an idealist would expect that. In the real world, our Capitalist system runs circles around any Socialist or Communist system ever established. *********************** * Diligentia Vis Celeritis * *********************** "Thus those skilled in war subdue the enemy's army without battle .... POLITICS & POLICY Elizabeth Warren’s Batty Plan to Nationalize . . . Everything Wholesale seizure and control of private property? With 2020 in her sights, Warren woos the hard Left. Senator Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts has one-upped socialists Bernie Sanders and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez: She proposes to nationalize every major business in the United States of America. If successful, it would constitute the largest seizure of private property in human history. Warren’s proposal is dishonestly called the “Accountable Capitalism Act.” Accountable to whom? you might ask. That’s a reasonable question. The answer is — as it always is — accountable to politicians, who desire to put the assets and productivity of private businesses under political discipline for their own selfish ends. It is remarkable that people who are most keenly attuned to the self-interest of CEOs and shareholders and the ways in which that self-interest influences their decisions apparently believe that members of the House, senators, presidents, regulators, Cabinet secretaries, and agency chiefs somehow are liberated from self-interest when they take office through some kind of miracle of transcendence. Under Senator Warren’s proposal, no business with more than $1 billion in revenue would be permitted to legally operate without permission from the federal government. The federal government would then dictate to these businesses the composition of their boards, the details of internal corporate governance, compensation practices, personnel policies, and much more. Naturally, their political activities would be restricted, too. Senator Warren’s proposal entails the wholesale expropriation of private enterprise in the United States, and nothing less. It is unconstitutional, unethical, immoral, irresponsible, and — not to put too fine a point on it — utterly bonkers... More at the link: https://www.nationalreview.com...hing-woos-hard-left/ .

Wait, what? |
^^^^^ There aren’t enough commie-socialists in the country to elect her if this continues to be her platform; I think a lot of people underestimate just how many middle of the road voters on both sides of the aisle are out there just sitting quietly keeping mum about how they’ll vote. The queen bitch found out much the same thing in 2016, despite what almost every rigged poll indicated. “Remember to get vaccinated or a vaccinated person might get sick from a virus they got vaccinated against because you’re not vaccinated.” - author unknown

She needs capitalists around to feed on, like any good parasite. Yeah, she's for the private ownership of companies but only so she can 'spread around' their earnings. Can''t very well do that if the companies are owned by Big Brother.

Who votes for these people? And why do they continue to vote for them? It boggles my mind that some of these wing nuts have been in Congress for decades! You can't truly call yourself "peaceful" unless you are capable of great violence. If you're not capable of great violence, you're not peaceful, you're harmless. NRA Benefactor/Patriot Member

Elizabeth Warren complains about the high cost of college and wants it to be free (in other words - we tax payers pay). What she doesn't tell you is that she was paid $430,000 in ONE YEAR to teach ONE COURSE at Harvard. College expenses are going up much faster than the rate of inflation at both private AND public colleges. One of the reasons is because the colleges know that students will pay no matter what and there is no pressure at all to reduce costs at colleges. Free college will remove all restraint on colleges to keep costs down when they can feed at the public treasury. https://twitchy.com/brettt-313...ime-is-not-for-sale/

That article already has its' own thread : Elizabeth Warren’s Batty Plan to Nationalize . . . Everything https://sigforum.com/eve/forums...935/m/8760058544/p/3 "Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible." -- Justice Janice Rogers Brown "The United States government is the largest criminal enterprise on earth." -rduckwor

There's never been a shortage of dumb people. I used to assume that the reason was that they simply didn't have access to the information that the rest of us have. Now we have the internet, plus practically everybody carries a smart phone. So essentially, they're carrying around a device with which they can access most of the information known to man. Yet there's more really stupid people walking around than ever before. I don't get it. ------------------------------------------------ "It's hard to imagine a more stupid or dangerous way of making decisions, than by putting those decisions in the hands of people who pay no price for being wrong."
