Anyone here have one? Is it worth the price over the other models as far as screen and processing. I need to upgrade from my iPad mini trying to decide if I should go all in or with a cheaper model. I use it daily for almost everything except taxes and things like that.

My wife and I each have a new 12.9 256GB space gray iPad Pro with Apple Pencil and the keyboard folio case. It was our big luxury purchase of the year, and possibly next year as well. Don’t regret it at all, personally. We were both wanting new iPad pros as we both had the generation 1 models (mine was a 9.7 and hers was a 12.9) which served us well but we wanted to upgrade. I wanted the bigger size due to the fact that we no longer have our MacBook pros anymore and it’s my main computing device now. I think it’s my favorite Apple device that I’ve purchased in recent years, possibly all time. I was pretty impressed with the iPhone X and series 3 watch I got last year, but this thing is on a whole other level. But that is my opinion of course. It’s extremely fast, geekbench benchmarks are showing that it’s faster than most laptops currently on the market. Most models have 4 gigs of RAM with only the 1TB models having 6 gigs of RAM. Even though I only have 4 I don’t see how it impedes anything. It’s still fast. Face ID is so much faster than Touch ID on my old iPad and even faster than Face ID on my iPhone X (by a good margin). If you do get one make sure you get AppleCare for it. There’s been some reports that people being careless are seeing their iPads being bent and with AppleCare you get two incidents of damage repair for a much reduced flat fee. With something as expensive as these things it’s pretty much a no-brained to get AppleCare. In fact, it’s really the only extended warranty that I ever buy. Apple is great about honoring it. If you’re wondering which size to get you should try to go to a store so you can see both the 11 and the 12.9. They are both smaller than you would expect. The 11 is roughly the same size as the older 10.5 but the 12.9 is a good bit smaller than the old 12.9. I recommend it fully.

Told cops where to go for over 29 years… |
I am typing this on the “new” iPad Pro 12.9” I upgraded from last years 10.5” Pro, and to be honest, I’d be hard pressed to say it is “worth” the upgrade cost in terms of performance. However I was able to sell my 10.5 for just $200 less than I paid so the majority of the cost of it’s replacement was covered. I used the 10.5 for 14 months, so it “cost” me less than $15/mo if I look at it that way. Where it is an improvement for me is size. I had the previous 12.9 Pro and found it too big, hence my move to the 10.5. The new 12.9 though is a good bit smaller due to the reduced bezel. Where I was uncomfortable web surfing in portrait orientation before because things were just too small, type size in portrait works great now. Also for editing photos using the Apple Pencil, the 12.9 size is an improvement for accuracy as well It is noticeably faster than the 10.5 and the new Smart Keyboard design is a big improvement from the 10.5 Smart Keyboard. I use my iPad for almost everything. The MacBook Pro comes out for photo editing or hardcore spreadsheet work, but I use it maybe weekly or bi-weekly while the iPad is daily and pretty much all day long at that. Web surfing, email, simple photo editing, checking in on my Ring doorbell, simple spreadsheet work, etc. all done easily on the iPad. There are still a few drawbacks that keep it from being a computer replacement still, but it does 90% or better for me. I really wish they would bring multi-user/account feature. With high end tablets well past the $1000 mark, it is silly to expect a couple or family to buy multiple devices in order to maintain individual settings or accounts. If you are currently using an iPad mini I imagine you will see a HUGE improvement. I have a mini as well (version “4”) but I pretty much only use it for flying my DJI Drone to have a bigger screen than the phone provides. Old eyes and bigger is better Full disclosure, I am fully immersed in Apple environment (iPad, iPhone, MacBook, Watch, Apple TV, Apple Music, HomePod). To be fair though, I’m am a former Apple hater so I have seen both worlds. What part of "...Shall not be infringed" don't you understand???

I went from a mini to a iPP and I am definitely enjoying the upgrade. I still use my mini but only when traveling.. ______________________________________________ Life is short. It’s shorter with the wrong gun…

Love the big one. I’m on it now. It is the primary device in the house. 0:01

Years ago, I dropped the whole iPad format in favor of a 13" Macbook Pro. I need a regular keyboard or I'm not happy. The size is not that much different, and the MBP can do so much more. When in doubt, mumble

Just for the hell of it |
I have a friend that has the bigger one. She has basically replaced her laptop with it. Still has her work laptop but for almost everything, she uses the iPad Pro. _____________________________________ Because in the end, you won’t remember the time you spent working in the office or mowing your lawn. Go ahead punk, make my day |
To me it depends. I tried to eliminate my need for an iPad with a larger iPhone and a 13" MPP. However I often need to work outside and in more demanding environments where I'm uncomfortable using my computer and my iPhone is too small, so a iPad Pro 9.7 works great with a ZAGG keyboard. I haven't needed to upgrade yet as it's paid off and working great, but I think the iPad Pro lineup is great if it does what you need it to. I still need my MacBook for true ease of computing with spreadsheets / document creation, etc but if I didn't, I could go all iPad for just goofing off and surfing.

What will the iPad Pro do, that the iPad will not do? I looked at the Apple website, trying to find answers, but all I saw was a bunch of marketing hype. Does the Pro have better spreadsheet capability? How about database stuff -- Access, FileMaker, etc.? הרחפת שלי מלאה בצלופחים

I have the ipad pro 12.9" (as well as a mini). The screen on the ipad pro is awesome. The battery life is awesome. It is GREAT for streaming tv and movies (Netflix) on and that is 99% of my use on it. The downfalls. It is heavy. It is bulky and not something that is easy or comfortable to use on your lap. On a table it is fine and my case has a mantle. I don't think you'll notice a difference in the screen quality if you're just doing spreadsheets and stuff, just the screen size. But to be honest- I love just using my ipad mini for general stuff as I can hold it completely with 1 hand and use my other to navigate the screen.
