Damn, that’s terrible. I had tremendous respect for the man and always appreciated his perspective from the other side of the pond. Condolences to his family and those of you who knew him.

Godspeed, Sir.

As a newer member here, I have always respected the views of Tac and others on this forum. God Speed Tac. You are home now.

“Our actions may be impeded...
But there can be no impeding our intentions or our dispositions. Because we can accommodate and adapt. The mind adapts and converts to its own purposes the obstacle to our acting.

The impeding to action advances action.

What stands in the way becomes the way.”

What an absolute shock! If I may use an expression he would have been familiar with I am gobsmacked. Condolences to his widow and all who knew him.

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

Many times I followed a thread just to see what Tac's perspective would be on the subject. He will be missed.
