Thanks for all of the info, guys. I dislike Paypal and don't have an Apple phone so we went with Zelle. As discussed in this thread, it's really not a good idea to send paper checks through the USPS. When a thing is funny, search it carefully for a hidden truth. - George Bernard Shaw

To each their own, but the privacy issue with Venmo, which seems to be no big deal to most, I found appalling. Few years ago one of my kids mentioned Venmo, so I downloaded the app and established an account. Forgot about it, until about 6 months later I thought I would open the app and browse the features. Much to my chagrin, a feed popped up showing dozens of transactions of contacts on my iPhone. The amounts were not shown, but each party to the transactions were listed, along with personal comments between for each item. Some of the transactions and dialogue involved contacts I didn't know, but with whom I had business or other matters. Many were transactions between my own family members, with whatever of there own relatives or friends. I don't want to see personal communications of strangers or anyone else, or learn about their financial transactions or personal conversations, which were often not limited to the transaction. Nor would I want mine disclosed. I searched and learned there was litigation over this some years ago. I then searched the method to turn this "feature" off. For me, at least it was convoluted and involved numerous levels of navigation. To h_ll with that. After a number of tries I succeeded in removing the app. Lately, for the few times I've had to send funds Cash App worked fine.

Where are you getting this information? I pay several monthly bills via bank or credit union Online Bill Pay. Some of them are ACH electronic, others are to vendors who do not receive ACH, and every single one of those (non-ACH) does receive a paper check, mailed by the bank or credit union's contracted payment service. I can look at the bank or credit union websites after payment has posted, and see actual images of the paper checks, and the deposit endorsements on the back of the checks. הרחפת שלי מלאה בצלופחים

My info came from the Doctor's office when I inquired about paying a bill twice. I have Huntington bank. It show an ICON of a check, but I have to request a "banker" to look into the payment. No self service option to see check image
