DaBigBRShipping a pistol to yourself
Just check it. It's not really that hard, it's relatively low risk, and it will be easier to deal with problems than trying to ship it.
There are a lot of guides out there.
If you're an Apple user (I am not) consider putting an Airtag in the box.

MikeinNCMy bro, “Dirty Chuck” (it’s a nick name someone else gave him-and it has stuck) told me he has a Rossi 4” 38Special revolver he’s had since the 80s that he can let me use, vs me bringing a pistol.
And because he’s crippled he only uses a walther P22 for SD now.
I’m ok with that. One less thing to worry about, no checking bags, no inspections, no stress about TSA or some other shitbag messing or stealing my stuff.

MikeinNCTrip turned out OK. I got a few emails from members offering to join me for coffee. Sorry I couldn’t get up with anyone. He had me working from the moment I got there, up to when I left a few days later.
Good thing I was there, his dirtbag neighbor just got out of jail and was tweaked up from the gate. He came over stomping around until he figured out I was not my brother. I happened to have a tool belt and framing hammer on me at the time. I just smiled and spun the hammer like doc holiday and told him he should go home and not come back. The Guatemalan neighbors showed up in force and intimidated the dirtbag to leaving. They were the victim of the crime that ended him in jail to begin with, but my bro is crippled and I guess dirtbag wanted to bully him. I bought those guys a case of beer for their problems.
