Jim,

That video was auto generated by some sort of AI engine, has zero specifics to penguins (I could have easily swapped “penguins” to “polar bears” and the entire video would still be roughly accurate.)

Low effort videos with computer voiceovers don’t deserve any attention.

Nice one. Thanks for the laugh.

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning, 1946.

I read an account of Antarctic explorers in the late 19th or early 20th centuries who were forced to try eating penguin.

These men, who were literally starving, said it was inedible, no matter what you did to it. The oil in their flesh apparently tastes rancid.

One explorer described it as tasting like beef, codfish, and duck roasted in a pot with blood and cod liver oil used for the sauce.
