I’ve been giving this some thought, I believe I’m most comfortable going with snail mail, I’m a little leery of PP having my bank account information. I’m sure it a groundless fear, however I’d just feel more comfortable doing it this way. So, you can contact me via email and I’ll forward the mailing information.

I’ll say it again, you guys are pretty amazing. Happy to be here at SiG Forum.

I just sent you an email then I got thinking that you mentioned that you were having problems with the account. Can you be reached at the email address in your profile?

Aside from advice, what can we do to help? Fourteen years in this forum counts for something. A dedication to bring weekly to this forum- week in, week out, year in, year out- a moment of zen, counts for something.

We can help. We've done it before. clubleaf is not asking and he would never ask, so I am asking. A fundraiser is called for.

We have people in this forum who take the bull by the horns. Now's the time.

I have not read past this post yet, but I am IN to help.

Yep, screw that. Do Paypal F&F like 12131 suggested. No fees.

Clubleaf, can you enroll in Paypal? It is instant access. If not, I will email you.

Edit: email sent.

PP F&F works.

Open a free account at a bank and dedicate that to paypal.

PP standing by. I don't think I even have checks left.

I think you can setup a PayPal account based on your email address only. To get funds you can have them mail you a check or they'll send you a PayPal Debit Card to access the money via an ATM. These might have a .25 handling fee or something.

Just a thought.

Got your email back, just now. Check in the mail tomorrow. Please see a doc about the depression. There are some simple things you can do/take for short term high stress relief, and a good doctor can really help in that regard. You WILL get through this. It is often hard to see a way out when one is in crisis. Call me if you want to talk. This forum is chock full of experienced people that can help. You have many options--more than you might think!

You're not going to believe this, I just had one of my neighbors ring the door bell, she said that she just hadn't seen me for a few days and was merely checking to see if I'm alright.

The Bible tells us we are surrounded by angels, seen and unseen, my neighbor and this thread demonstrates to me that angels do indeed take many forms. Smile

I'm sorry to hear you're going through some rough times. I've been there financially similar to others here.

I'm in for a few dollars; it's a drop in the bucket but I'm certain SigForum can make it rain for you. Email inbound as well.

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning, 1946.

Just a thought since I am guessing many of us who wish to help only have some funds in our paypal accounts to send.

You can go to your bank with some $ Like Fifty dollars and get a visa prepaid card. It is not linked to your bank account or any other personal info other than your name, etc. It is an actual visa card that will be preload with amount you put on it. You can link it to your paypal account that you open. Then you are ready to receive paypal funds. The down side is you have to spend your pp proceeds to someone who accepts pp as payment. Not sure how to or if you can link your pp accounts back to that type of card or not.
I only offer this as an option as I am sure more people will contribute to a pp situation than mailing funds via a personal check. My funds are in a pp account now so that is how I can donate. Sorry and best of luck

You've explained the "why" of your situation, but not the seriousness of it. If you're making at least your minimum payment(s) and on time, you don't have anything to worry about right now. If, however, you're behind 60 or more days on any or all of your accounts, with your credit score in the toilet as a result, the late charges and interest rate increases piling up, virtually ensuring you'll never be able to pay it off, and creditor(s) are hounding you, this should be considered.
