Hopefully the cloud deck covering the state will thin in time.

Cool. I'll watch for it. Thanks for posting.

The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

I did not realize national guard units flew the B2. That should be an awesome display.

131BW (MO ANG) is an associate wing with the active duty 509BW at Whiteman AFB, 131FW used to fly the F-15 at Lambert Field in St Louis.

AF Reserve has a similar arrangement with B-52s at Barksdale AFB. I spend 23 years in "standard" ANG wings, I don't know anything about associate wings.

I think it's this whole blended unit concept they have been going to. I know DM has an A-10 reserve unit but attached to the active duty wing or something.

As a side note - I think the whole thing is ridiculous. Since ANG and Reserve units are basically "active duty lite" these days, just get rid of them entirely. Make everyone active duty, and keep the guard and reserve for fields that don't deploy as much, or for medical personnel who could actually help their state in emergency situations. Just my 2 cents.

Regarding the B-2, I will never forget when I was at Eglin around 2004 and they had a B-2 fly by for the base open house/air show. I was driving around perimeter road and this thing flew right over my car pretty low (for a high altitude bomber anyway) but it was so quiet and just looked awesome. I see planes come and go all day but seeing that thing around 5k feet off the ground directly overhead was a memorable experience.

I did see it... it was pretty cool.
Not close enough to get any decent pictures though.
Thanks for the heads-up!

I had a good view outside my house and most of the street was out watching. 5:43 as promised and I've seen it before, but it's still breathtaking to hear the B2 coming and watch it bank overhead. God Bless America

Cell camera photo which would have been better had it been taken seconds earlier. I was expecting it to be approaching from a different direction and it took me by surprise.

My thought is they have to fly so many hours for proficiently and to maintain the aircraft.
