GustoferKarnowski needs to zero it in. He's left 8 points out there. That little hook is his bread and butter.

True, but the Zags are out rebounding NC who were #1 in the country for rebounding, so it's balancing out. Great first half!!

TMatsThree teams playing tonight: Gonzaga, North Carolina, and the officiating crew. Too many whistles--ruining the flow of the game.

No kidding! All these kids have to do is look at each other and they call a foul. Let them play already.

AckksLess than two minutes to go in the championship and they give NC a 3 point play an a weak foul like that?
Well, congrats to NC.

GustoferHorrible officiating and Karnowski didn't play worth a darn. That made all the difference.
But yeah...congrats to NC.

Jimbo54We'll be back. Good effort by the Zags and they will get a super back home celebration for a job well done.

I don't know what to say about Karnowski, he just seemed out of sync the whole game. I'm an Arizona alum, but after they were eliminated by Xavier, I was pulling for Gonzaga (I posted earlier, a good friend has a daughter there). I just saw a video posted of Gonzaga's Collins' 4th foul. It was called on the Zags end of the court. Shouldn't have been

RightwireThe end of that game, the last 8 minutes or so, was all about composure. Gonzaga lost theirs and lost the game. Pretty typical for teams that get deep in the playoffs for the first time in recent history.
NC has been there a lot, knows how to maintain composure and it paid off.

I think you're right to a degree, but I would argue it was the last two minutes. Despite the refs and players not playing as well as they have so far, the Zags had the lead at two minutes.
But they'll be back. They've got a young team with big dance experience now so watch them next year. Despite this loss, they have a lot to be proud of this year and congrats to them for an amazing run. I hope they get one hell of a welcome home.

Todd HuffmanI'm a Tarheels fan, so Whoooooo!!!!!! That being said, the game was one of the worst officiated games (both ways) I've seen in a long time.
The refs thought the game was about them and not the kids playing the game. I almost expected the One Shining Moment video to be full of striped shirts and tweeting whistles.

bigdealSince my brackets were completely destroyed by the end of the great eight, I didn't have a dog in the hunt last night. As such, congrats to NC.

sig sailorA very poorly played game on both sides. I had no dog in the fight, but hoped for a good game. NC won, that's fine but it just meant that they sucked a bit less than the Zags.

cheesegritsIt wasn't the Carolina I wanted to see win, but I'll take it.
Congrats to the Tar Heels, and, more importantly, congratulations to the Univ. of South Carolina women's team on their national championship. Coach Dawn Staley is all that and a bag of chips.
