Congratulations! Beautiful pup.

The lovely bride loved the thread, but scoffed at the above line as the four pet dogs swirled around. The four guardian dogs (three working protecting the goats and one fourteen year old enjoying her retirement outside at the house) also contribute to the dogfood bill.

Enjoy your newfound friend. I’m going bet that she really appreciates being saved and buries you in love to show it.

She had a day of running around with the other little one today, and it looks like they might turn into best buds. Both have a ton of energy if nothing else in common!

She earned a bit of couch time.

You realize she's now been adopted by the forum so we will require regular pictures and updates Smile

That's awesome Smile. Ours was initially not going to be on the furniture...he's now a 50lb lapdog who owns the couch and regularly sleeps in our bed. The will is weak when puppies are involved Big Grin.

Adding a new pup to the family is always a good day, especially considering the circumstances.

Update, wife decided that she has officially passed probation, mostly just making sure she fit in with our oldest who is a bit set in her ways (the polite way of saying she is THE boss). Fortunately no issues there, so I was given the green light to commence the naming process.

Took about two seconds, cause I’d been thinking on it…. So officially, Taser (on the right, the BOSS) and Parabellum (on the left)

have been joined by Pedersen!

Who is tough to get a photo of unless asleep. Never stops moving!

Named after John D Pedersen, the gun inventor so good that John Moses Browning once referred to him as the “greatest gun designer in the world”.

As anyone who has ever tried taking apart a Remington Model 14 knows, he had a knack for complicated designs, but ones that just plain worked. Also known for the Remington Model 10 shotgun, the Remington 51 pistol (there is only one, the thing from a few years ago shall not be mentioned!) the Remington 12 and 14 pump action rifles, and working with Browning, the Model 17, which evolved eventually to the Remington 31, the Browning BPS, and the Ithaca 37. Speaking of complicated, there is the Pedersen Device, designed to turn a Springfield 1903 into a 40 round pistol caliber automatic rifle.
C&Rsenal Pederson Device

So, seemed fitting. The circumstances around her showing up were definitely “complicated”!

And so far, she is just plain working. Not straight up housebroken, but about 75 percent there, and just plain a delight around people, a real sweet puppy.

I "rescued" a little boy just like that 13 years ago. Not too dissimilar a situation. Changed our lives for the better. He passed a few weeks ago. Terribly hard to go through, but worth all of the heartache for the many wonderful years and the impact he had on my family. Good job to you guys for saving that little girl. You'll be rewarded!
