Disclaimer - no affiliation with this company, I got lucky and found it.

This thing is a beast and requires no lifting, just sliding. There are similar such shovels, this is the one I know and boy does it work! You can move as little or as much as you're up to, a perfect angle to work with. I got one on eBay for under $70, I see Amazon want about twice that. Get one and thank me later.

Here are a quick short and a longer rambling one but worth while.

Folks in Maine are familiar with these. We had them in 40 inches, 30 inches, and 24 inches. They were built of Plywood with a sheet steel covering on the scraper end, and instead of the full bottom sliding on the snow, there were two 1.5 inch runners covered with 3/16 steel that sloped at the front like a ski tip.

Could clear a LOT of snow really quickly with those things.

I had one of those years ago. Didn’t work for me. Where I am the houses are close together. Doesn’t take long for the pushed snow to reach a steep vertical height and a boundary where it needs to be lifted and piled. But if you have lots of area to push the snow and angle the shovel full up and over a drift, I’m sure it’s great.

All of the ski resorts in Colorado use those for clearing the chair lifts in front of the area where you get on.

Me, I bought a truck with a snow plow! Much easier! Although my driveway is about 300 feet long...
