Still seems pretty bitter, in general.

God bless America.

Final search today did not turn up anything. Bad weather is moving in again soon.

Score a School of Hard Knocks teachable moment for now.

Replacement of the drone will not occur soon, but perhaps if he still has interest it could happen coincident with a birthday or other future event.

Thanks to all for your help.

Know how it feels. Caught many a kite in the trees. Lost lots of things as a kid. Learned from some of the experiences. Part of growing up. An understanding approach from an adult that still remembers childhood is the best approach. Losing a pet is particularly painful.

Situations like this are part of the learning process. Kids like to think they know everything and it’s sometimes necessary for them to go through things like this. Try thinking about the stuff he won’t break or lose if he’s learned from it. Costly blunders are a fact of life but they become few and far between if we learn from each one.

This or depending on brand and reseller, make some phone calls and see if anyone in your area has inquired about purchasing a new remote recently?
