My son's birthday will be on in up after Christmas. One of his favorite possessions is a Harry Potter "magic wand" he bought years ago a Disney world. It was poorly made, has been damaged over the years. I was wondering if a member who knows woodworking would please replicate it in a nice solid wood. Maybe something with some nice grain. I can send pictures and dimensions. And I would be happy to pay for time and materials. Please let me know if one of you would take on this job. Thank you.

One of our forum members, Screaming Cockatoo or Mars Attacks (I forget which one) makes beautiful handcrafted wands and staves. You should try emailing them.

Send me pictures, measurements, etc.

I will figure out if I can do it. If it is made from wood, I probably have enough scrap laying around my shop to deal with it.

If I do it for you do not figure on paying me anything other than shipping to get it back to you.

Can you ship his current one to me so I can use it as a real sized model?

If not, not a big problem, just need some good measurements.

Email me and send a picture or 2.

If Elk can't do it let me know. I don't work with exotics, but probably have some domestic hardwood. Email is in my profile. Send dimensions and photos. No charge. Consider it instant Karma if I'm able to make it.

Years ago I found a gnarled stick about 12 inches long. I stripped the bark off sanded, stained and lacquered it. Turned out piano finish. Gave it to my youngest who was into Harry Potter big time back then. I'd be happy to do the same for your son.

Elk, since you were the first to volunteer your skills I'll send you pictures and dimensions. Thank you one and all. If something interferes with Elks' availability, l'll post again. I am humbled by the kind responses.

Although you have several offers of help, you can add my name to the lists.

Thanks

You have to be careful with Marzy's wands... they are actually magical and could hurt someone if not used with discretion.

How did you send them? It is 6:22 and they are not here, yet. Email sometimes gets kind of slow.
