This is going to come to a flash point. This is a runaway train that is being fed by specific leaders and the media. People in this country are wound up and pissed off. One side is keeping it under the lid, the other side is spreading it far and wide. When that lid blows, it will get ugly.

Agreed, it was the right move. I'm glad that those lowlife thugs knew better than to beat up a woman, but frankly, it's just delaying the inevitable.

I wonder how quickly the Secret Service can staff up the protective branch? They're gonna need a bigger pool.

The Capitol Police proved last year that their training is insufficient for true protective work. They challenged the guy who shot up the Congressional baseball game before they killed him, which is what should have been their immediate response.

One might be excused for watching all this develop and wondering "How can these children fail to understand that, if this keeps going this way, eventually shit's going to get real and it probably won't go well for them?"

But you have to understand: Here we have a generation or so that was raised believing there are no consequences to bad decisions or ill-considered actions.

It was really pretty much inevitable this would happen.
