I have been an avid fan of the Matt's Off-Road Recovery channel on YouTube. I even met Matt last year when I was in the area.

There's a guy named Ed that makes frequent appearances with Matt. He's 84 years old, a gold prospector, and all around good guy (pretty much like everyone on the channel). Well, back in the day, he managed to strand an old Suzuki 4WD on a claim in the middle of nowhere in Nevada. About a year ago, Matt and the crew recovered it, and have been restoring it in secret for Ed. Well, the unveiling has finally happened!

It seems that sometimes we hear only the bad in the world, and lose sight that there are truly good people out there and good things happening. This brought tears to my eyes. I hope you enjoy it as well.

Just watched that episode today. The one where that pulled that old Suzuki out of the woods after a few decades is pretty wild

Been watching it too, and loved every minute of it. Kind of like living a dream of fixing up the 51 CJ3 I used to have

It's also in the existing Matt's Off-road thread.

They did a great restoration on both machines....Can remember the printed ads (many years ago) in hunting and fishing magazines for the "Rokon" bike (rough terrain vehicle) being either rear wheel drive only or 2wheeel(front and rear wheel drive) and that the wheels we hollow for carrying water or gasoline for extended back country travel which also added weight for water crossings.. Neat machine. thought how nice it would be to have one. ................... drill sgt.

I saw it last evening, was going through some of my YouTube. Matt is a very cool, does some really neat things. I'll have to stop by the shop at some point, only a few miles from where I live.

Back in the '70s I was into dirt bikes and bought my Hodaka from a dealer in Asbury Park, NJ. He also dealt in Rokons and rode them in trials. What amazes me is they are still being made!!
