He’s my favorite panelist on Gutfeld’s show. Definitely some good exposure for the wrestling brand he represents given Gutfeld’s ratings.

I think Tyrus is great.

I like when he is on The Five in place of Guttfeld.

The white belt? Part of why I like him. He is mocking himself. He often (fondly) mocks or jokes about WWE. The white belt is his badge of confidence in his intellectual depth: He doesn’t have to dress in tie and tweeds to demonstrate he’s smart.

I think I like his and Dana Parino’s commentary most on The Five. Both very thoughtful, very articulate, though in very different ways.

And I love that he enjoys surprising people by looking like a crazed goof ball, but being able to analyze better than all those talking heads in ties. I think his belt and his playing up a dumb meat eater appearance are his great way of saying FU to so many in the elite that let us know they are better than us. (And that, of course, is one of the greatest themes on Fox.)

Apparently his growing up (unless they are embellishing it) was rough. And becoming the body guard for Snoop Dog then a political commentator? What a great story. I understand his autobiography is very good. Haven’t read it, but it’s on my list.

95% of the time, all of the commentators are more amusing than Gutfield.

Maybe that’s part of the schtick?

I’ve watched the show a couple times, trying to figure out why it’s rated so high.

Then, I just go find a video about Tudor farming techniques and watch that instead.

I like Tyrus. He is much more intelligent than his appearance might indicate, and his comments are very insightful and articulate. I have wondered why he always has "the belt" but don't obsess about it. Perhaps it is a contractual requirement.

I like Tyrus too. It’s nice to see a mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy. I mean, that’s storybook, man.

His pants don't have crisp creases, though, so there's that.

But, yeah, Tyrus always has some really good input. Both him and Kat are much, much more than they appear to be and I enjoy hearing their insight to the different issues.

Kat comes off as a mild ditz on Gutfeld!, but on other programs she shows that she's a lot brighter than that.

I generally like Tyrus but Friday on The Five they were talking about the Baldwin shooting. Tyrus went on a rant about how they should take the remaining live rounds they found and do the ballistic testing, then they could determine where they came from.

Yeah, Tyrus said the slugs had serial numbers that could identify who bought them. Dumbest thing I ever heard him say.

I noticed that. NOT an example of strong content knowledge I had just been talking about…

I think Tyrus is mostly just fine, no one is knowledgeable about everything, although I get that perhaps one shouldn't opine on TV in such a case.

I much preferred Gutfeld during the "Red Eye" days.
