Great shots.

There's lots of places that get built up so much that when you finally go there, it's a bit of a let down.

Yosemite is not one of them. Razz

The best birthday present I ever gave myself came on my 62nd birthday. I drove to the nearest National Park and purchased a lifetime senior pass.

Then it cost $10. They've raised the price to $80. Still, one of the best bargains around.

You can't truly call yourself "peaceful" unless you are capable of great violence. If you're not capable of great violence, you're not peaceful, you're harmless.

We started that day at Mono Lake. We then did a whirlwind tour of the park, stopping every now and then to take in the views and to take pics. I will eventually hold my nose and go back to California to spend more time there. This image was one of a few I took there. Since it was October 2007, the falls in the distant were just a little more than a mist. I would love to get the full falls in the future. We ended the day in Santa Barbara, and we arrived there when the sun was about to go down. You can see, when I said it was a whirlwind tour, it was.
