Apparently a number of death threats have been thrown around in Tennessee recently in response to the state banning transgender surgery for minors. There's a possible toehold for leftist dissemblers.

Note: I've just skimmed a number articles before posting here so I can't provide any attribution.

Consider that the shooter was familiar with the layout of the school, as opposed to storming a place they had never actually been.

Same thing with home invasions. Knowing the layout of a house makes it easier.

I really don’t care who did it or how they did it in any of these cases.

What I want to know is why is society so broken. Why are so many people ready to kill and die for their own personal reasons.

I mean I get crime. There is risk reward.
I get terrorism it’s means to an end.
I get crimes of passion targeting specific parties (wife cheating/dude she was cheating with etc.)

I just can’t fathom the random slaughter of people much less children.

NOTE-By “I get” I don’t mean I condone or think those things should be mitigating factors, I can just mentally wrap my head around it vs. how can ANY MONSTER HARM A CHILD IN ANY WAY!!!

Honestly this world just makes sad at this point.

That's how I expect the spin to be along with the "time for some common sense gun control laws."

Supposedly, at least 1 of the guns used were obtained legally and I heard a liberal pundit already say that "obviously, existing gun laws are not enough."

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Also noted in the earlier press conference was that this location was the shooters second choice. They didn't elaborate on it much, but it seems "her" primary target was dismissed as being too secure.

Now I'm no rocket surgeon, but what mindset is one operating in such that you can be pretty sure you're not going to be alive at the end of the day, but still choose a lower security target? Mental illness, I swear...

Seriously?

Creeping socialism. The dissolution of the nuclear family. Social strife caused by factions being set against each other by those who benefit from this. Multiculturism. The waning of religious faith and the outright militancy against it. Internet social media causing people to become isolated and forgetting how to interact in person.

These are but a few of the reasons. Where have you been?

That makes sense. But then, why elementary school? Something happened during its time there? Why not high school or college (assuming it went)? Something more recently familiar? Perhaps less of a threat -- HS students could fight back more easily? No threats at an elementary school?

Probably doesn't make sense to try to rationalize the irrational I guess. We'll probably never understand the real why.

I know the cry is always, easy access to guns, blah blah. But we’ve always had easy access to guns in this country and we’ve always had a fairly huge number in circulation.

I am really starting to believe social media allowing and preying upon the crazy amongst us giving them a platform or riling them up is the biggest component to ANY OF THESE crazy folks whether shooters or the let’s go kidnap politician X because they are “evil/wrong/red/blue” etc. I just feel like the “crazy” is allowed to flourish so to speak.

That is not me saying take away freedom of speech from X or Y group or anything like that. I am just saying I think this is a consequence of some of our tech/world.

No I do get it. I guess it’s just so very hard for me to wrap my head around random violence that I have a hard time believing it’s just that.

Like I said the world makes me sad. All those things you mentioned make me sad.

A) “Evil” sells. Pop culture is in love with sex, violence and aggression - and it always was. The classics and most operas are highly sexual. But the “unthinking enraged brute” was not as common of a hero. There’s a theme pushed that sufficient anger carries the day.

B) Marijuana vaping may be one of the most destructive things an adolescent can do to his body, and a very high percentage of school schoolers routinely vaped marijuana between 12-15. (Binge drinking is also incredibly destructive at that age, but much more rare these days)

C) I think precocious sexual exposure, and their first sexual image being one of mutual masturbation, has a significant effect.

(Think about it. I know I was a bit sheltered - but how many of us, over 40, saw pornographic sex before we lost our virginity? )

I grew up, and my parents still live, about a mile from this church/school.

It is located in the Green Hills section of Nashville. There are a lot of shopping and restaurants, and upper/middle class housing in the area, which is probably why police response was so fast.

I heard the press conference by the mayor, and it was disgraceful, despicable. Repeated one of the commonly-used gun control lies that guns are the leading cause of death in children. These scum can't help themselves.

Mental illness like this will continue to grow because it's incentivized and glorified. The left won't reflect on the damage they're causing because their religion (progressivism, socialism, leftism, communism - they're all the same thing) doesn't allow for it.

Dark times are upon us. Be preparing as much as you are able.

People are vile. These school shooters are trying to establish fame by disgusting and outraging us more than the last nut...they are looking for big numbers and this evil freak failed even at this demented task. No reason this should still be happening...we could harden our schools against attack very quickly and with less money than we've sent to Ukraine.

Like so many other of these psychopathic murdering monsters, I would not be surprised to eventually hear that ‘she’ was “Known to the authorities.” in some manner or degree.

This would include local, state and/or federal law enforcement agencies, SRO’s and the mental health treatment community, etc.

A brief clip of police press conference indicated he shot the door he entered. Lock, glass, didn't specify.

Perhaps the ATF form required to purchase a firearm needs to add one more question: Do you consider yourself trans? People in that category are mentally infirm and probably shouldn't be armed with anything beyond a butter knife.

Only plus side of the trans nonsense is when society realizes it's nonsense the personal injury lawyers will sue and get rich off the surgeons who are lopping off private parts of men and hacking away at women. The physicians who are making money off these mentally disabled individuals will get hit in the pocket. Wonder if the medical malpractice insurance companies will balk at paying for intentional wrongful conduct?

The “guns are the leading cause of death among children” angle seems to be everywhere. One would think it’s a talking point the whackos have decided to emphasize. Roll Eyes

A 15+ gangbanger is not a child. Everything I’ve been able to find says that’s the majority of the “dead children”. Nope couldn’t be cuz it doesn’t fit the narrative.

I saw that and very nearly threw up, having just read an account of the shooting.

He’s utterly clueless. It’s scary.

NOTE: I don’t say that unaware of the relationship in time of this clip and the shootings. He might not have heard about the shooting (I’m giving him and his people the maximum benefit of the doubt) before his ice cream brain leaked out in what he said. But the man is clueless.

I don’t recall mother (who died of senile dementia) ever being clueless like Biden.
