Sorry but if someone did that to me while I was out eating, I’d think they were trying to sell me something or convert me to their religion. You lucked out getting someone who wanted to talk I guess.

My wife and I were out to dinner last night and two elderly women (older than me) came in and walked the long way to a table of there choice. One of the women said hello to each person she passed, including me. I thought it rather strange, but I returned her greeting. It cost me nothing.
