GeorgeairHigher end office chairs and outlet resources?
I swear some of you had a discussion about a year ago (??) about sources for nicer office chairs at decent prices. Of course that included a discussion and review of different lines.
I can't find that thread, or am imagining it. Any ideas on this front??

nhtagmemberI have an Aeron and its very nice, a tad expansive but good.
However over the weekend I was doing a CAP exercise at the 47th Fighter Wing and the OPS room had Nightengale chairs, hands down they beat the Aeron for comfort

Herman Miller makes a huge variety of very well made office chairs.
I like the Aeron, but ended up liking the Embody more.
For a more traditional look, they're quite expensive and less adjustable, but if they fit you, the Herman Miller Eames Soft Pad Chair is very comfortable and possibly the best looking office chair available.
A bunch of people in the previous thread talked about finding Aeron chairs at office liquidation sales for peanuts.

PerceptionWe break a lot of Aerons here at work. I have a broken one sitting right in front of me waiting for repair right now for that matter. I think they are pretty comfy, but the two points on the side where the seat attaches to the frame are very weak.
"The people hate the lizards and the lizards rule the people."
"Odd," said Arthur, "I thought you said it was a democracy."
"I did," said Ford, "it is."
"So," said Arthur, hoping he wasn't sounding ridiculously obtuse, "why don't the people get rid of the lizards?"
"It honestly doesn't occur to them. They've all got the vote, so they all pretty much assume that the government they've voted in more or less approximates the government they want."
"You mean they actually vote for the lizards."
"Oh yes," said Ford with a shrug, "of course."
"But," said Arthur, going for the big one again, "why?"
"Because if they didn't vote for a lizard, then the wrong lizard might get in." September 24, 2019, 03:01 PM
DaveLI've had a Hancock & Moore chair for the past five years and I've been very happy with it.

BeancookerI have an Aeron. I love it.
Bought from
https://officedesignsoutlet.com/It’s preowned, but looked and felt like new out of the box. Best chair I have ever owned.
