MinnowFarm Jack Recommendations?
Whichever one you get, Harbor Freight, HiLift or Tractor Supply, practice. Get to know the operation of these jacks before you start putting a load on one. That handle can come at you like a professional baseball player swinging a bat. Mine slipped and swung past my nose, close enough to hit the brim of my hat. I learned to respect it that day. Since I do not have a tractor, that jack has pulled a lot of brush, small stumps and fence posts. They will get the job done. I have a short 2x6 bolted to the base. Picked up a chain hook attachment online. Simply wrap a chain around whatever I am pulling out, hang the chain on the hook and work it out.

henryaz They have such a small base that using a good solid piece of 2x8 or 2x10 under them as a platform helps stability a lot, if you're not already working on concrete or other solid ground.

rtquigI ordered the one from Tractor Supply. 48" Bulldog. It's in stock, just waiting for the email to say it is okay to pick it up at the curbside. After digging around the fence posts, 3 need to replaced and a small tree in the fence line needs to be pulled up. Not looking forward to the work with a bad back, but I have all the time in the world right now.
