My laptop died on me today and I need to buy another this week. I really don’t have a lot of time to do deep research. My budget is $650. What is the best deal out there for a 15-inch laptop with Windows 11?

Costco! I got a sweet solid state Dell that I really like. I don’t recall the price, off hand.

Don’t forget Prime Day is also coming up.

Recently switched to a thinkpad T16 Gen 1, several people at work also happier with the T16 then with their previous Dell latitudes. Better build quality.

Thanks for the recommendation of Lenovo. Can someone take a look at these and tell me what you think?

Remember that Prime Day is this week. Consider the specs you want and look for brand names with them on Amazon. There might be a deal.

I have a rather high end MSI that has been problematic. I purchased a Lenovo Thinkpad business pad for use by the wife/business partner. It has been a rock solid performer.

Hey. I'm a slow typist and sometimes forget to hit the "Post Now" button. Give me a minute and I'll think up more excuses.

Two recommendations:
1. Get with Intel processor
2. Get the Pro version of Windows

Computers today are so good it will be hard to screw it up.
Check Costco, Prime Days

I'm lucky to have a brick & mortar store called MicroCenter near me. They have great prices and service. They don't have any stores in Arkansas, but you can shop at the Denver store to compare models. They are very competitively priced. Pick what you want on their website, then see if you can find one elsewhere, like New Egg.

I dunno, maybe Micro Center ships too.

We have not.

I have had plenty of issues with the startup of the MSI.

I should add...we're only buying from the lenovo business line. Not their lower end offerings.

I have a 14S-IWL Lenovo that I bought at least 5 years ago.
Still going strong and very fast startup due to having solid state hard drive, not a disc.
If I wanted a new one I'd look up the present equivalent model.

Here's one at Amazon for about $800.
