Looks like a mortise cylinder.

It doesn't have the mortise cuts, but the body is just like that of a cam lock. There is a threaded collar that secures the body. The difference is the little nub sticks up.

How big is it? Small like a cam lock?

Yes, it's small like a cam lock. Just under an inch long, maybe 3/4" wide. Seems the only difference from a cam lock is that it doesn't have the rotating tab, just the little nub. This lock came off of a Stowline rifle safe

Couldn't a locksmith make a new key for it?

I would think a locksmith could make a new key but I'm no expert. I'm also a bit slow I was always taught to respect my elders, but it keeps getting harder to find one.

I made it so far, now I'll go for more |
I don’t know what it is, and I don’t need to meet any local Asian chicks either. Bob I am no expert, but think I am sometimes.

THIS ^^^^^ I bought a used truck once that had a locked toolbox on it and the lock looked a whole lot like that. I removed the locked box from the truck and took it to a local locksmith. He picked the lock to open it, then made 2 new keys to fit it without rekeying the lock, he charged me less then 6 bucks... including the two new keys, but that was a few years ago... In Texas, we'd just take it to the local locksmith and exclaim, "I need one of these here sum bitches" Ego is the anesthesia that deadens the pain of stupidity DISCLAIMER: These are the author's own personal views and do not represent the views of the author's employer.

Takes longer to read it than to do it. - - - - - - - - - -------- After the game, the King and the pawn go into the same box.
