Business Strategy Game
Has anyone heard of the Business Strategy Game?

Part of my last class is participation in this. Essentially, you run ALL conceivable aspects of running an international footware company with 4 of your classmates. In this class' case, there are 25 students so there are five companies.

Has anyone else played this (or currently playing)?

Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Not played this in the way you speak of I have outlined some of my own ideas. Basically you are looking at

Entry/preemption and strategic approaches
Assesing outcomes
Analyze incumbents
Unoccupied territory
Prisoners dilemma

Most of your analysis will be based on price or supply since there are 5 teams and i am assuming its todays current shoe market youre not looking at any competitive advantages.

What more would you like to know? A nice book on this is "competition demystified" by bruce greenwald who is a professor at Columbia.

I like simulation games.

I did a quick google on the term and found this youtube entry.

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." If I were you on this project I would read this article and use social media strategies as it can provide cheap advertising options by utilizing influencer marketing. And the fact that it is working for "No Bull" and they are stealing market sharr is proof it could work.

I would avoid the Toms shoes strategy of donating a pair.
