cparktdWould you daily drive this 55 year old truck?
Now THIS is a truck I would love to own!
Sorry for the image quality, screen shots of a video.
Truck was restored / resto modded by a charity... it is being raffled off by group I know nothing about... so I won't post their info.
This is a 1970, C/20 3/4 ton with a 350-V8 and 4WD. Looks to have a 4 speed in the floor.
The first truck I drove when I started working for my Dad in his Contracting business at age 16 was just like this one!
...except...
it was a 69, a C/10 1/2 ton, 6 cylinder, column shift three speed, step side bed, and green. Other than that...

kkinaI thought I was cool driving a 30 year old car.

selogicNice truck but it's probably a gas hog . Air conditioning ?
March 29, 2025, 09:27 PM
cparktdProbably has the Muncie (Rock crusher) 4 speed tranny
Surly not a granny low 4 speed.
I think I would prefer an automatic. But now I’m just nitpicking!
Also looks like it has a 4 barrel carb and tubular headers!

rizzleDepends how stiff it rides. HEI distributor buried in the back, v belts that need constant adjustment, spark plugs every 30k with headers, no steps on it unless they are hidden, gonna be a bear to get in and out of.
I'd daily drive it maybe 15 miles or so.
Just checking fluid levels are gonna be a bitch on that, novelty would wear off fast for me, anyway.

Might get 12 MPG… downhill. Although my dad‘s 73 SS 350 El Camino wasn’t too bad on gas.
I don’t really see any sign of an AC, except a few extra controls, added under the dash.
AC can be added but my truck has no AC… and it’s black!

HK AgNope but I sure would enjoy it other times.

ccwguyAbsolutely. Maybe just from April through October. I couldn't bring myself to drive it through the Northeast Ohio winter and all the crap on the roads.

OttoSigWhile I think it looks bad ass, I would not.
I use my truck nearly daily and I’d hate to use that truck for anything that would put a dent or scratch in it.
Would be like an unfired grail gun, I’d be afraid to put a scratch on the cylinder or frame. Wouldn’t do me any good.
But if it were free??? I’d gladly drive it in the driveway while blaring freebird from the radio.

sigarms229No, it sits too tall and would be difficult for me to get in and out of.

preten2bIF.. you enjoy driving it, hell yes. Very cool even if you simply make it a fair weather choice.
Stolen from somewhere here years ago, not
shooting driving that is like having a hot girlfriend and not boinkin' her to save it for the next guy.

1s1kDaily driving that truck would destroy it in a few years. This would be an excellent fun truck for nice weather and around town running.
It looks amazing but after a couple of weeks of that you would quickly realize how far cars have come in the last 50 years.

YooperSigsI would guess that it runs on high octane gas, which would add quite of $$$ to everyday driving.
It is cool though!

calugoCool truck but not something I would use as a daily driver, if I owned that truck it would be something I'd drive on weekends and to classic car shows.
