Yyyyeaahhhh. Rahm wants federal resources to solve problems the "Chicago Way", despite the glaringly obvious fact that the "Chicago Way" has created or exacerbated the problems Rahm can't solve. And, of course, Rahm wants it all to happen without any further discussion - and therefore without any effort on Chicago's part to do anything or accommodate any fed efforts to solve the problem.

Let the negotiations begin!

To give some insight into how Rahm thinks, he recently informed all retired Chicago Police and Chicago firefighters and paramedics that they will no longer be receiving health insurance from the City of Chicago. In the past, retiree health insurance was paid for by employee contributions, employer contributions and a small contribution from the pension fund. Today the retirees are responsible for 100% of all health care insurance costs. The cost of being a sanctuary city is paid for by those who worked for benefits that are now taken from them by the socialist left.

Do not trust anything that comes from Rahm's mouth or from his minions.

The people of Chicago keep electing these asshats... so I don't feel too bad about it. They voted in what they wanted, so they can live with what they voted in.

As much as I have ranted about this mindset over the years I have come to the conclusion that it is the correct one. I have many friends that tell me that they are very pro Rahm and dead set against Trump and the revolution. I have tried my best to help them see the light and come over to the right side but I have to admit I've failed in that task. As a result I am now of the opinion that Chicago get's what it deserves and that's not much. You made your bed Chicago, now sleep in it. It pains me to say or think that but it can be no other way.
