What is the opinion on Ford's 6.2 engine? Not a Ford guy, so I don't know much about their offerings past the 5 litre.

Gonna be a tow rig/ farm truck. 4x4, crew cab short box. 2016, 59k miles.

Good engine. Has been used by Ford for close to 15 years I would guess. Good truck too. What are you going to pay for it?

If it's their traditional big block V8 Modular engine I'd say hell yea. If it's a Ford diesel, I'd say hell yea too. Buy it now before all you can get are electric wheels. Imagine hauling and towing with electric anything, the economics and physics don't line up, and that's just the beginning of the problems.

I know a guy who bought a new tesla, he likes it, but only drives it back and forth to work. He knows its limitations but bought it anyway knowing that fact. He's smart but knew exactly what he signed up for.

But for trucks, get biggest gas or diesel engine you can buy. It's a truck for goodness sake.

Buddy is looking at it. I don't know number specifics, but I believe high 20k range. Unsure. Seems like a nice truck, but I'm personally better served by a Honda civic.

There are a few at work. All are F350 with utility beds and lift gates. The one I’m familiar with has 106k on it. It’s still runs great. It has recently needed a new fuel pump and then a computer. It gets 12 mpg.

I have one in my 2013 F250. Currently a little over 205k miles. Solid engine, averages 11.5-12 mph. Has all the power I need to tow cars, haul water, etc. Short of the recurring P0442 code (small evap system leak), it has been trouble free.

6.2 BOSS engine with the 6 speed. Good for what you're looking for. Millions made. Going out of production soon, plant is shutting down and FORD is moving to the 6.8 10 speed for 2023. Likely demand will go up for good used ones.
