I just called a local small company involved in shooting sports, and I got their answering machine message. Introduction, then:

"Caller ready..stand by.....[beep].

I thought that was clever-put a smile on my face. I don't know if it's original or not, but I've never heard it before.

Anybody ever hear this? Any others you found clever or amusing?

New one on me, pretty good though.

That is funny. I had a message that was like the Miranda warning.
