mark123The grand vultures are circling
Can I enjoy a treat without these vultures getting all wide-eyed and drooling? “What’s that? What’s that?,” says the grand kids.
“You won’t like it. It’s bitter.”
“Can I have some!”
“No, you won’t like it and you’ll waste it. Just like last time when you threw this very thing in the trash.”
“But I want it!”
“Nope.”
I’d normally wait until they go but they’ve been here all day and I’m hungry and they just ate and they can’t have my stuff.
I’ll have to start eating habaneros again.

StorminNorminWhat was it?
I want some. Can I? Can I please? I will like it, I promise.

About the same for me eating with my pet birds around. They want to eat what I have so badly. Many times I am eating what they can have and share. If not, one of my parrots will strut around saying, “Come on baby!”

Today, it was dark chocolate with no sugar in it. They don’t really want it. It’s just that they covet my goodies. They’re $5 per bar and expensive to get slobbered on and then thrown away.
Come on, baby!

snwghstIf they don’t like it. Don’t let them toss it. Eat it. We’ve all eaten the rest of kids food when they had some left over

StorminNorminAs a kid I learned a hard lesson of asking to have what grandpa was “eating”. He chewed that hard plug tobacco. I was so curious of what it was and wanted it. He gave me some to shut me up and it made me sick. I never asked for anything he had again, except for grandma’s biscuits and gravy! Hmmmmm….true southern biscuits and gravy!
