Wes is no longer with us. He breathed his final breath at about 5:40 PM Pacific/ 8:40 PM Eastern time tonight.

Goodbye old friend.

“From the Halls of Montezuma

My son and I are heading to Oregon tonight to say goodbye to Wes Howe. Stage 4 lung cancer. DNR in effect. Hopefully we can make it before The Lord calls him home.

Very sorry to hear that about Wes. He is one of the good guys. He helped me with my son, and I will always be greatful.

I’m very sorry to hear that, Wes will be missed. I hope you have a safe and peaceful trip and are able to say a proper goodbye to your friend. Please give him all our best.

Very sad to hear. I did not know Wes, other than by his posts here. I always found it interesting that nearly all of his posts had an opening salutation, either directly to someone by name, or to everyone in which case he opened with 'Gents'. I took that as a sign that he was kind at heart, and a friend to all. I do know that had had great taste in rifles, rifle builders, and friends. He will surely be missed.
