I have had a pair of Trask Buffalo shoes for 0 years and haven't worn out the soles. Most durable shoe I have ever worn hands down.

TXJIMCheck out the various styles of Danner "Bull Run" boots. Hand made in the USA (Not all of their models are USA made but these are).

eltonrhave you looked at any of the Keen boots?
I have had several pair, great for construction site, mud, wet weather, etc
Made in USA, well Oregon actually.
love the fit, and durability. everyday wear will last me several seasons, years.

Good luck with that. I think a traditional shaped insole would flop all over the place with the big toe box.
