How does his vote count? He didn’t read or understand. Someone told him what to say. And he said it.

That is NOT representation in any twisted sense of the word.

That's somewhat how it works when term limits are in play. Something to keep in mind.

I'm saying his vote shouldn't count

he can't even draw the idea of the bill with a crayon

this is NOT how our government is supposed to function, and its been a very long time since anyone could accuse him of being a republican

Why can’t these people ever call it a career. It’s like Dianne Feinstein when they were wheeling her in for a vote and she kept calling out “where are you taking me” to somewhere she had been hundreds of times.

I just don’t get it.

My maternal grandmother in MI was a card carrying UAW member, the union boss would handout cards with how members where supposed to vote for every election, and that's exactly what she did. Big Grin

So we needed to keep McConnell in his seat or Little Andy would have challenged the law as unconsititutional, basically vacating the seat since there wasn't time for a special election, and he was being held back from making an appointment which he most certainly would have appointed a D and let the challenges happen in court.

McConnell fell and we see the results, the play out is simple for power and control no different than the Left did with Feinstein....

Also, Grok says.....

Shipwreckedcrew analyzes why Mitch McConnell delayed resignation: a Kentucky law dispute risked Democratic Gov. Andy Beshear appointing a Democrat to the seat or leaving it vacant, weakening new Senate GOP leader John Thune's position.

Kentucky's 2024 law (HB 622) requires special elections for Senate vacancies rather than gubernatorial appointments, a change influenced by McConnell and Republicans to block a Democratic governor from filling the seat with a non-Republican.

The law's validity remains contested under Kentucky's constitution (Section 152) and the 17th Amendment, potentially allowing legal challenges and temporary vacancies until a special election or the January 2027 term start.
