We have a total of 5 Eufy’s and love them. If they make a self emptying unit that’s what I would get hands down.

Roomba here. Combination of hardwood floors, vinyl flooring, Pergo and ceramic tile.

Not too impressed with it both in it’s cleaning ability and longevity, had to replace the brush motor about six months after the warranty was up, got one off Amazon. And noisy as hell.

When Roomba quits for good I’ll look into a different brand.

Get one that self empties. WAY better. Especially if you are going to run it daily.

I've been really happy with the Shark IQ Robot Self-Empty XL RV101AE

We have x2 dogs and run it every day. Sucked emptying the other one we have every single day. This is set it and forget it for a couple weeks at a time.

Do these things work on wood laminate flooring? I'm moving from a fully-carpeted place to a fully-wood-floored place and don't know the proper maintenance routine.

We have an "I Bob", it doesn't! Frown

Doesn't vacuum very well either, doesn't even go over everywhere.

As he said but they can go one step further if you are all wood, laminate, and tile.
The Cordey we have has the option to wet mop. You have to switch the tank and fill it with water and cleaning solution but the option is there.

Ours covers the kitchen, breakfast nook, den, living room, and dining room, along with the entry hallway.
All hardwood floors for us but we have area rugs in the living room, den, and dining room and don’t feel like setting up the room boundary things so we don’t use the mop feature just the daily vacuum.

I see that para beat me to it. With that said I'll toss in something's fishy about this cat riding the vacuum in honor of Shark Week Big Grin

I did a bit of research and decided on the Roborock S7+ (the self emptying one). However, the wife didn’t want to spend that much money. She kept balking and wondering if we should just get a different brand for less. Then a Black Friday deal came up and I ordered it and it came in today.

Seems to work really well and the mop feature is pretty slick. Thanks for all the tips, my friends.

If you’re going to get one, the Roborock S7 with its self emptying base is head and shoulders above the rest. I’ll spare you my stories but I literally could make a YouTube review channel of all the crappy robot vacuums I’ve been through. The S7 is wonderful compared to other bots.

We have the Roomba S9+. Long hair will get wrapped around the rollers and cut into the material they are made of. The rollers will need replacing every 3-4 months and cost $45 plus tax and shipping. The next set I’m going to try after market, but they don’t get good reviews. With good rollers, it works well enough, but is loud.

Yeah, I got the S7+. Rereading my post I didn’t actually say which one I ordered. Smile The Roborock went on sale for $719 so I ordered it. It even does the textured rugs by the doors really well.

$719 is a great price on that vacuum. I won’t say what I spent, but even at that I’m still happy with the purchase.

Just got the Roboroc s7+ also straight from the Roborock website for $719 a few days ago. It's friggin awesome! Compared to the bumper car cheapo models I used before this thing is incredible how it handles obstacles like tall floor carpets and stuff. The software works awesome too!

I was surprised how well it gets over the thresholds.

I bought my mom a Roomba I6+ 6550 from Amazon. It works really well. Like all of them, it gets stuck unexpectedly sometimes.

I bought a Eufy a couple years ago, a cheap one. It's not very useful. I think it works best as kind of an active dustpan, as opposed to a whole-house vacuum. And and other things....
