gearhoundsA tour of asteroid Bennu
This is extremely cool- a close up virtual tour of asteroid Bennu, a rocky conglomerate body. This is made possible by close up imaging by Nasa's Osiris Rex satellite giving amazing detail. To me, it's as amazing as the footage from years of research on Mars.
The tour neatly displays the process of accretion in the formation of objects in space from leftover debris left behind by supernovae long ago. The same processes that formed the rocky inner planets but on a much smaller scale.

Jimbo54That was very cool. It amazes me what NASA is capable of doing. Money well spent in my opinion.

RogBMore information on Bennu. Bob Zimmerman's website Behind the Black contains pics of the asteroid. He's a frequent guest on the John Bachelor podcast.
