Herr Blooomberg and his proxy Gun Violence Prevention Bus Tour are coming to Arlington, VA.

Date/time:

Sunday, 09 FEBRUARY 2020.
6:30-8:00pm

Location:

1301 S Joyce St
between DSW and Planet Fitness
Arlington, VA 22202

We need a BIG crowd to welcome him and his peckerwood proxies a la Lobby Day 2020.

ETA:

About Gun Free Zones in the Nearby Area

1301 Joyce is NOT in a Gun Free Zone, if MiniMikey's event is held outdoors where we can access public sidewalks upon which to stand.

If the event is on the grounds of or inside The Fashion Center at Pentagon City, that, per the property owner, is a gun free zone.

There are a bunch of other issues with location access and guns.

PENTAGON: Outlined in BLUE. This event is held across I-395 from the Pentagon Reservation. You DO NOT want to be caught with a firearm on the grounds of the Pentagon, which is much larger than the building, and which includes three major roads. If fact, the Pentagon Reservation includes an undisclosed location of raptors and granite, located far away from DC.

From 32 CFR

§ 234.10 Weapons.

(a) Except as otherwise authorized under this section, the following are prohibited:

(1) Possessing a weapon.

(2) Carrying a weapon.

(3) Using a weapon.

Weapon. Any loaded or unloaded pistol, rifle, shotgun, or other device which is designed to, or may be readily converted to, expel a projectile by the ignition of a propellant, by compressed gas, or by spring power; any bow and arrow, crossbow, blowgun, spear gun, hand-thrown spear, slingshot, irritant gas device, explosive device, or any other implement designed to discharge missiles; any other weapon, device, instrument, material, or substance, animate or inanimate that is used for or is readily capable of, causing death or serious bodily injury, including any weapon the possession of which is prohibited under the laws of the state in which the Pentagon Reservation or portion thereof is located; except that such term does not include a pocket knife with a blade of less than 2 1/2 inches in length.

GEORGE WASHINGTON MEMORIAL PARKWAY (GWMP): Problem area in RED. Generally a person can travel along the GWMP with a loaded pistol and a concealed handgun permit recognized by the Commonwealth of Virginia. There is a short stretch of about 1 mile starting near the Teddy Roosevelt Bridge and ending past the Dangerfield Island Marina that is actually in DC, therefore, your concealed handgun permit from another jurisdiction is NOT recognized. DC also bans possession of "assault weapons" and I mean BANS them.

ARLINGTON NATIONAL CEMETERY: Outlined in YELLOW. Same rules as the Pentagon.

WASHINGTON, DC: If you plan to get to the event via I-395N, make sure you know where the heck you are going or else you might find yourself driving into Washington, DC, onto the Pentagon Reservation, onto Joint Base Meyers/Henderson Hall, or into ANC. From the correct exit to DC is about a mile, and IIRC, there are only two other exits, one of which dumps you onto the verboten section of the GWMP, as an escape. SO DON'T SCREW UP.

METRO: Concealed handguns carried with a permit recognized by the Commonwealth of Virginia are okay, BUT ONLY ON THOSE SECTIONS THAT ARE IN VIRGINIA!!! See above. Those places... are NOT in Virginia.

If you get arrested, don't blame me. This is my understanding of the GFZs that are all over that area.

Here is another I just got from the VCDL Alerts.

Let's go see Michael Bloomberg at his campaign stop in Norfolk this Friday!

Let's fill Nauticus with Orange! Get your GSL stickers from the crew outside!

Be vocal and be heard! Tell Bloomberg that you support the Second Amendment and you don't want him or any of his paid for cronies in the Virginia General Assembly to take away your rights.

WHERE:

Nauticus
1 Waterside Drive
Norfolk, VA 23510

WHEN:

Friday, February 7, 2020

9:45 a.m.: Doors open to public, press

If you are banned from possessing a weapon then why do they need to also say you can't carry or use one? Seems quite redundant to me.

I hate this kind of stuff:

how can you wade or swim if you can't go in the fountain?
